Business Goal

The Home App and Space web app was developed to allow parents to review their centres to address this challenge.

 

The goal was to create an accessible and efficient method for centres to collect parent feedback, thereby improving their reputation and attracting new enrolments. The following objectives were established for the Home App and Space web app:

  • Parents can review their centre in Home App or on the Space web app

  • Centres are notified via email when parents lodge reviews

  • Centres can manage and respond to reviews left by parents

  • Centres can also pull in reviews from Google

  • Centres can embed their Reviews Widget on their website to showcase their SpaceScore

Problem and Challenges

The main challenge childcare centres face is the lack of a readily accessible method for parents to leave reviews. This has resulted in only a few families leaving Google reviews and a limited understanding of the centres' reputation.

Concept - Hypothesis

As the childcare industry proliferates, centres need to maintain a positive reputation among families. Also, parents need to see if the centre suits their kids. As the behaviour of purchasing something, we always check the reviews.

 

For that reason, feedback from parents plays a crucial role in helping centres improve their services and attract new enrolments.

 

However, many centres face challenges in collecting parent feedback as the method of leaving reviews is not easily accessible. This has led to frustration among centre managers who need help to get a complete picture of their centres' reputation.

Reflection

The implementation of the Home App and Space web app successfully allows centres to collect and respond to parent reviews, which has led to a more positive reputation and increased enquiries, clearly indicating the project's success.

​

This project is the one which helped me to gain knowledge in designing the function from the concept stage. One of the most significant achievements of the project was the ability to embed the Reviews Widget on centre websites, showcasing their SpaceScore. This has allowed centres to showcase their reputation and attract new enrolments.
